Christmas Countdown Project 11 - Clothes peg fairy

I am amazed at the German crafty resourcefulness, that they have a whole magazine dedicated to what you can make with clothes pegs!! Here is an idea I saw in a magazine and as I have already purchased a gift in an organza bag, I decided to make this fairy to adorn the top. You can often buy organza bags for wedding favours but you could also use them with this idea as party treat bags, table place settings with a chocolate inside the bag or even make a set of 24 as an advent calendar!

You will need:
One clothes peg
One organza bag
Paint dabber or spray mist
Offcuts of card for wings, face and hands
Raffia for hair
Glossy accents adhesive
Inks to ink edges of cut out pieces
Glaze pens

1. Paint or spray the clothes peg with your chosen colour and leave to dry.
2. Trace off the face, hands and wings from the template here. Cut out the face and hands in pink card and the wings in another coloured card. Ink the edges of each piece.
3. Add facial features to the face using glaze pens, leave to dry, then glue in position. Glue a small piece of raffia to the front for hair. Knot a few strands of Raffia for hair and glue behind the face.  Add hands to either end of the front of the clothes peg and glue wings in position on the back of the clothes peg. Leave to dry.
4. Clip peg to the neck of gift bag. The clip can also be used afterwards to hold notes on your desk or a fridge magnet if you add self adhesive magnetic strip to the back.
Join me tomorrow for another crafting project. TFLx
