Christmas Countdown Project 19 - Desk Bunting Kit - teacher gift!

These would make great teacher gifts to brighten the desk up as well as being fun ideas for the colleagues at work! I have put this up in my craft room and it is going to stay there all year! May take one to school too! You could make them using paper off cuts too if you want.
 It is a little bit of fun, a self assembly kit that you either stitch or staple together. I stapled mine with a Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.
You will need;
Scraps of toning fabrics
Garden twine/string or ribbon
Pinking shears
Cellophane card bag
1. Lay several layers of fabric together and cut out flag pennants using the pinking shears, so the fabric will not fray. My pennants were about 4" long by 2.5" inches wide.
Remember to alternate them, top to bottom, to get the maximum out of each fabric strip.
Collect them into sets of various colours.
I decided to give 18 flags with about 5ft of twine.
2. Measure and cut the twine, wind it up and place it inside the card bag, with the flag pennants. Add some simple instructions on a card.
3. If you prefer, assemble the bunting using a needle and thread or a stapler.
4. Hang up your bunting to decorate your space!
A great gift idea, that even the children could make. You could use Christmas colours and call it Christmas bunting!
You just need to make a little gift tag now.
Join me tomorrow for another crafting project. TFLx
