Up to date!

It was my mission to get project life up to date and I managed it this week! This was week 33, the week that DS2 got his A level results, so plenty to write about here.

I used an envelope from one of his congratulations cards, to hold a mini album of photo's from Pizza Express, where we celebrated. I also included some of the star confetti out of another of his cards, in a glassine envelope.
The left hand page included some of the things from his visit to Beverley Races Ladies Day including his ticket, and a rare self portrait of myself in silhouette.
I am finding it increasingly difficult to limit each week to a two page spread, sometimes I have to get creative with extra half pages and hidden mini's but I am sticking to it. My worry now is that I am going to stray into a third album! I wanted to keep it to two! 6 months in each!
Of course I am saying I am up to date, but yesterday was Sunday, so I now have another week's photo's to scrap!! Lol! Started another altered book mini album yesterday, hoping to do a bit more today. TFLx
Just printed off the BBC news story of Neil Armstrong dying yesterday, a man connected with my earliest world event memory from my childhood, a very brave man.

Week 32 - Olympic fever!

I am on a roll with Project Life again now and fully caught up! Week 32 was a page about life on the left hand side, with DS2 returning from  his first Club 18-30 holiday!
I then did a full page spread using some Olympic tickets from my friend. Her son was able to go on the night Mo Farrah did his second gold medal. When the TV panned around the crowd we saw them close to the track photographing Mo! I photographed the TV and sent it straight to them and they sent me their picture of Mo! I made a page about the wonder of technology on such an occasion!
I also included a note about how I Face-timed my sister in France during the closing ceremony and was able to share some of the highlights with her!
I added a few pages I printed from my Olympic App on my phone, showing the final medal table and quoting some of the highlights. I had to make an extra half page for this using half a page protector cut horizontally.
On the back of this added some details about taking my dad to Elvington air museum, and going to friends house for afternoon tea! I had a lot to fit in so printed all my photographs wallet size.
I used a lot of my Union Jack bunting again for this Olympics page. Tflx

Week 30 & 31 Project Life

Told you I had a crafty day yesterday! I caught up two weeks of Project Life! Week 30 was the first week of the Olympics, with the opening ceremony. I had a lot of photo's so I cut a page protector in half vertically and made and extra half page.

Week 31 was our week on holiday in Sicily so I did a double page for that, one side has a large collage photo of our snaps and one side has day by day journaling.

I used the leftover "Abroad" papers from Studio Calico, after I had completed my Sicily album. Just one week left to catch up now! TFLx

Project Life catch up!

I stayed up late last night to get some photo's printed off for Project Life, I am hoping to have a catch up today and give myself some crafting time. With DS going off to dance school shortly, in London, I feel like we have done nothing but shop! IKEA Monday, Meadowhall Tuesday, Asda and Matalan Wednesday! This week is just flying by! Judging by the queues in all these places, every other parent of an 18yr old is doing the same since results were out last Thursday!
Today is results day for some of our friends and relatives with GCSE age children, so fingers crossed again! Hopefully more Congratulations cards will be rolling off the press! TFLx

Working on my holiday album

Started my holiday album for Sicily photo's, all 156 of them which is a bit of a challenge, but hey! I am totally in love with Heidi Swapp memory files at the moment, after I made DS1's Graduation album out of one here. I bought the Travel set and I am using all of them to make this mega album, along with my Studio Calico Abroad papers
I have watched Heidi on My Craft Channel making here mixed photo stack, so I have made one myself using a cut up memory file, page protector and some tabbed cardboard I cut on my Silhouette Cameo die cutter.

I have so much memorabilia and postcards I want to include too, it may not all fit in, but I have made a start! I will show more when I finish it, but at the moment it is a work in progress!
This week has been A level results! DS2 did not need his grades as he was already accepted into dance school in London, but he still managed an A,B &C so we went out to Pizza Express last night to celebrate.
He just returned from holiday in Turkey, with his friends so he is still sporting an impressive tan and all his holiday wrist bands!
This week also saw Barney have a trip to the vet and have blood taken, so he went for the sympathy vote on his return home!
Took my dad to Elvington air museum and got 50 odd snaps printed of for a mini album about that too!

Add all this to the Olympics and that great closing ceremony and you have lots of scrapping to do!!!
Oh, and DS1's official degree photo!!
I am officially three weeks behind with project life! Yikes! TFLx

A clutter full of cards!

Having promised to blog more regularly, I then disappear for a week, but I have been crafting! I needed a good few cards this week, so got down to designing a few with my Cameo in between trips out with hubby on his second week off, + the weather has been nice! TFLx
Vellum bird cage cut with the Cameo - wedding card.
Letters and lamp cut with the Cameo - New home card.
Engagement ring cut with the Cameo - engagement card
Some letters cut with the Cameo, some stamped with lots of different stamp sets and punched stars with some sequin stars - made 6 of these, exam results this week!

P.S. A clutter full means a fist full in our house!! I thought everyone knew that term!!
