Are we stash users or stash hoarders?
Do we make things or organise our craft storage?
These are frequently asked questions in the paper crafting world! Let's use our stash!
I have made a Pinterest board here to share items I will be making my kit from, based on the stash I have! It does contain four new sheets of Christmas paper and a gold printed Kraft card stock from Studio Calico's 'Magical' collection. Here is my mood board.
My plan for this year's Christmas Countdown is to make a set of cards for my own "jingle journal", to 'diarise' the days of December. If you already do project life, you can use them for that too. I hope to blog daily over the next 25 days with ideas for 3x4 and 6x4 cards you can make yourself, it will also include some free files I will share and you can download. I want to make my own kit from my stash and share my ideas as a money saving exercise.
I have actually bought a wood grain Studio Calico handbook album from the 'here and there' collection for my album to keep everything together for 2013, but if you are committed to saving money check out my 2009 , 2010 and 2011 albums that were made from recycled materials.
Pink, aqua, green and gold along with woodgrain are my essentials. Pick a paper or two for yours and then pull from your stash anything that you have on those colour themes. Work out a mixture of papers and embellishments and then fill in gaps with digital, die cut and printed elements. Chalkboard and gold are really big themes right now, so that's also included.
I hope you choose to play along with me! TFLx
