Happy Easter!

I had a tiny crafting window this morning so I hopped over to the Silhouette store and bought the template for these two cards for 49p and set my Cameo cutting!
All I had to do then was add a bit of backing paper here and there and some enamel dots and hey presto! Easter cards done!
Two peach ones and two pink. American crafts ribbon in yellow and pink. TFLx

Project Life week 11 and an update

With mum in hospital and sharing the caring of my dad with my sister as well as hospital visiting there has been precious little time to record events. However I made time here and there to get these two pages together.

Project Life catch up, weeks 9 & 10

Used some digital stamp brushes to cut out on my Cameo for this layout.

Week 9 was a 12 x 12 layout on the left hand page and a 6x4 vertical page protector on the right. I have been fighting shy of these vertical 6x4's so I made the point of using one! I used some of the speech bubble sticky notes we got in a Studio Calico kit that have been sitting here on my desk.
Week 10 was lots of Instagram pictures and not one that stood out to be scrapped alone on a 12 x 12 page, so I decided to have two 6x4 page protectors, one vertical and one horizontal.
I used up a whole bunch of vellum arrows from my Feb kit too by adding one to each card. Love the enamel dots for embellishing too. These tiny alphas are great, both Basic Grey and Simple stories.
All back on course now and up to date, not a bad idea with the next couple of weeks being hectic and Mum going into hospital. Will be keeping it simple! TFLx

Happy Mother's Day and Project Life Week 8

I am working on week 9 so I thought I would share week 8! I have been 'hors de combat' this week with an awful throat infection which left me voiceless by Wednesday, not good for a teacher! After a trip to the doctors Thursday and some antibiotics I began to feel as though I was making a come back on Saturday but it has been a nasty bug! So, due to that there has been a distinct lack of crafting and a lot more watching telly under a blanket with a dog on my lap! I finally started a layout yesterday for Project life week 9, but it's a slow process, I have no patience still!
Today is happy mothers day and I sent my Mum one of my confetti cards, like this one, but instead of the birds, I added Mum in Pink Paislee silver alpha's.
Due to my illness, I am keeping away from mum as she is about to go into hospital and needs to be well to have her operation.
I had a nice morning, with cards and presents from my three boys (Barney is included!)

and I particularly like my new spotty shoes!
although I wonder if I have a thing about spots when I was taking my Cath Kidston wellies off when I had walked the dog!! Lol! Happy Mother's day to all you hard working, multitasking Mums out there! I am looking forward to my hubby cooking our "dine in" meal from M&S later whilst I catch up with my lesson planning :( the downside to being ill all week :{ Hope to be more productive this week! Project Life Week 7

More of my new format 12 x 12 layout on one side and 6x4 page protector on the other.
The 6x4 side included some free Project Life download cards from Studio Calico if you are on the waitlist.
The 12 x 12 layout combines the wood veneer title card I made and blogged yesterday. Working on week 8 at the moment. TFLx

Home made wood veneer cards

I am seeing them everywhere and I decided to have a go at making my own. A while ago I bought some wood veneer sheets from eBay to make some wooden tags, as it die cuts quite easily with the Cuttlebug and my Tim Holtz tags die. I searched for it on eBay, they sell it for dolls house and hobby work. I cut the 3 x 4 Project life card from it using some Fiskars snips and then rounded the corners with my corner rounding punch. The February stamp is from Studio Calico and I stamped it using Archival Ink from Ranger. I think it looks pretty good and it will be finding its way into my Project Life album for week 7 - under construction as we speak!
By the way, if you like Heidi Swapp's memory files and colorshine sprays, she has a whole host of project PDFs over here, to celebrate the launch of her line at Michaels craft stores in the US and Canada, why not check them out! TFLx
